bronze sands flow under the ire of Ra
glowing dunes meet a burning sky
molten earth rolls and ripples unformed
life adjourns until the fires die

bricks shaped and stacked with care
float atop the churing ground
bullworks repel corrosive air
chlorine and sulfur without abound

void above and noise below
stone between where the travelers stay
twilight persists remote bastille
can pierce the veil of catholic day

pearl the milk, myrh the leaves
health that draught from benign chalice
foils commune to uphold the eaves
gold is the band that binds the oasis
